About Strategic Marketing Group

Built around small business.

SMG has always been rooted in helping small businesses solve real problems. What began with a strong marketing and business-services foundation has grown into a broader group focused on strategy, technology, specialized brands, platforms, and new ventures.

The SMG Story

The business changed because the needs changed.

Small businesses rarely have problems that fit neatly into one category. A marketing problem may really be a systems problem. An operational problem may require better technology. A new opportunity may need branding, financial support, software, or an entirely new business model.

Over time, SMG expanded around those realities. Instead of trying to force every need into a single service offering, we developed specialized brands, platforms, and internal capabilities that could address different parts of the small-business experience.

We don't want small businesses to chase tools, trends, or services. We want to help them find practical ways forward.

Business first

We start with what the business is trying to solve, improve, build, or understand.

Specialized when it matters

Different needs can be better served through focused brands and platforms rather than one company trying to be everything.

Technology with purpose

New technology, automation, and AI are useful when they improve how the business actually operates.

Always building

We are not only advisors. We develop brands, products, platforms, and ventures of our own.

SMG continues to evolve.

The portfolio, technology, and capabilities may change over time, but the purpose remains the same: helping small businesses move forward in practical ways.

Our Mission

Make practical strategy, modern technology, and specialized expertise more accessible to small business.

Small businesses should be able to benefit from better systems, stronger strategy, specialized support, and new technology without needing the resources of a large company.

SMG exists to help close that gap by combining practical guidance with businesses, platforms, and capabilities built around the real needs of smaller organizations.

Help small businesses make better decisions, operate more effectively, and take advantage of new opportunities without adding unnecessary complexity.

What We Believe

Modern doesn't have to mean complicated.

The strongest solution is usually the one that makes sense for the business, the people using it, and the problem being solved — not simply the newest or most impressive option.

Start with the business

Understand the goal, challenge, and context before deciding what kind of solution is needed.

Keep solutions practical

Better systems should reduce friction and improve the work, not create a new layer of unnecessary complexity.

Use AI where it helps

AI and automation are valuable when they support a real business need, save time, improve access to information, or help people work better.

Keep learning and building

Businesses and technology continue to evolve, so we remain open to better processes, new ideas, new tools, and new opportunities.

More Than Advice

We don't only recommend solutions. We build and operate businesses too.

SMG develops and operates its own brands, platforms, products, and ventures. That means the challenges we think about are not purely theoretical — we also deal with systems, workflows, technology choices, marketing, operations, growth, and product decisions inside our own businesses.

That builder/operator perspective shapes how we approach problems for other small businesses: practical first, useful over impressive, and always grounded in what actually has to work.
